During my long unintentional hiatus from this melrose space, I have become an avid viewer of the ABC family network. WHY IS THIS RELEVANT, YOU ASK?! BECAUSE Jane Mancini (née Andrews) (Josie Bissett) plays Kathleen Bowman in ABC family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager, AND Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton) is Ashley Marin in ABC Fam's, Pretty Little Liars. BUT... THE PARALLELS DO NOT END THERE!


These MP sisters are also ABC FAMILY MOMS... or MPARENTS!


Please review the following list of MPARENTS:
- Jane as Kathleen Boman in Secret Life.
- Sydney as Ashley Marin is Pretty Little Liars.
- Chad Lowe, who was Sydney's love interest, Carter Gallavan, in MP is Byron Montgomery ALSO in PLL! WHOA!
- and COOP IS A COP! ...and a dad in MTV's TEEN WUFF! It may not be an ABC fam show, but STILL!

Just to keep the list going...
- Megan Mancini (nee Lewis) (Kelly Rutherford) is Lily van der Woodsen/Bass/Humphrey/etc. in Gossip Girl.
- AND AS WE ALL KNOW, Kimberly Mancini (Marcia Cross) and Matt Fielding (Doug Savant) were MPARENTS on the not-so-long-ago retired, Desperate Housewives.

ALSO, I do realize that Jack Wagner is on a soap opera, and maybe he is a dad in it, but I have never seen it (and probably never will) as my current interest lies with teen dramedies.

I'm sure there are more MPARENTS out there in TV LAND, but they're probably just on shows that I don't/won't care about.

IT's also sTUPID WEIRD that Laura and Doug are MPARENTS TOGETHER IRL.
