WEIRD! Both mutual actors are connected to MATT AND they're MARRIED to each other in this MSW!!

Season 5, Episode 13: Fire Burn, Cauldron Bubble

Bruce Gray is R. L. Pierson in this second MSW appearance! He doesn't even show up until pretty late into the episode, blah blah blah, who cares.

Here he is for the first time (35:42):

Making his entrance into both the episode and the sheriff's station!

Juli Donald is also in this MSW as Irene Terhune, BUT her name is actually Annie Gorman, because she is only PRETENDING TO BE IRENE! She is in the MP episode "Drawing the Line" as Lily Gray, Keith's wife.

Season 5, Episode 10: Weave a Tangled Web

HOLY S! BRUCE TELLER (Stanley Kamel), ONE TIME D&D ADVERTISING PRESIDENT, IS FRANKIE THE BARTENDER IN THIS EPISODE!

Kamel portrayed Bruce in thirteen episodes of MP, committing suicide in his twelfth appearance!

Now I know you're thinking, "WHAAA?! HE DIEDDDD!! A THIRTEENTH APPEARANCE???! HOW!!!??"

WELL LISTEN UP! Kamel returned post-death for a Christmas episode, appearing as a ghost-of-Christmas-past-esque character.

And...

WOW! William R Moses, who portrays Keith Gray, Alison's psychotic ex-boyfriend in MP, appears as Reese Morgan, son of mountain mine owner, Tyler. Reese hates his father and could just kill him!

In MP, Keith kills himself when he realizes that he and Alison will never be together again. HE IS A NUT!

Rosana DeSoto appears in MP episodes "Lost & Found" and "Friends & Lovers" as Delia Saldana and in this MSW as Consuela Schaeffer. I can't really recall DeSoto's MP character, but Consuela is the wife of a MURDER VIC!

Richard Molner, who portrays INTERN, also appears in EIGHT MP episodes as GUY! He also portrays two different characters in two other episodes. Molner is DANCE GUY in "Pas de Trois" and GUY WITH BEER in "Much Ado About Everything." WHAT A TREAT!

Season 4, Episode 19: Just Another Fish Story

WOW another episode where three mutual actors appear. AND SO SOON after the last occurrence!

Clint Carmichael, who you may remember from his appearances in the MP episodes "Dreams Come True" as BOOTH and "Kyle of the Desert" as STRIP CLUB BOUNCER, portrays FOOTBALL PLAYER in this MSW!

I guess CarMICHAEL is one of the goons that is ruffin up MICHAEL in the above photo!

Layne Beamer, aka ADVERTISING EXECUTIVE in MP "Dead Men Don't Shut Up," is POLICEMAN!

AND finally, Zale Kessler, in his second MSW, portrays COOK!

Season 4, Episode 18: Benedict Arnold Slipped Here

No one too exciting in this episode... just a coupla repeats!

Julie Adams returns as bizzybawdy Eve Simpson and Katherine Moffat (portraying Lauren Hastings) makes her second/last appearance.

As you may recall from previous posts, these actresses portrayed rather insignificant characters in Melrose Place, so I won't even bother listing their roles again.

Season 4, Episode 17: A Very Good Year for Murder

Another three in one!

John Saxon makes his second MSW appearance in this episode as Marco Gambini. Bibi Besch, who is in the MP episode "Living with Disaster" as Mrs. Davis, plays Marco's wife, Fiona. ANDDDD, we have Kristian Alfonso, playing Michele Gambini, Marco and Bibi's slut daughter. Alfonso appears in several MP episodes as Lauren Ethridge, Sydney's madam!

SO, not only are there THREE mutual actors in this episode, but they're all RELATED! WOW!

Season 4, Episode 16: Murder Through the Looking Glass

Kenneth Zavayna portrays Admirer #2, which is not as notable as Admirer #1, but it is still better than Admirer #3, clearly. Zavayna appears in the MP episode "The Young Men and the Sea" as Marshal, which could be his name or occupation or both!

Also appearing is Cliff De Young, a goverment agent who is posing as a priest named Father Patrick Harris. Young is a DOCTOR (Dr. George Larner) in a few MPs, but unlike his heavenly character in MSW, he plays a creep who hits on Coop's ex-hooker girlfriend!

LET'Z B FRIENDZ! ;) ;) ;)

Season 4, Episode 15: Mourning Among the Wisterias

Penny Fuller appears in this episode as Grace Banfield, a real southern B!

Ralph Meyering Jr. is REPORTER, and Attorney Burr in MP episode "The Trojan Stork."

Gail Strickland portrays Kate Hollander, one of the producers of the television series, "DANGER DOCTOR!" In MP, Strickland is in a few episodes as Katherine Andrews, Jane and Sydney's mother.

Kim Miyori is Gayle Yamada, a young script writer who is outraged when one of the producers (not Hollander) presents the plot of JB's recent novels as his own idea.

Gayle pictured above, being outraged.

Charles Walker is Joe, Police Sgt. and Judge Purdy in MP episode "Secrets and Wives."

Tom McFadden plays Harry Caldwell, a security guard at an accounting firm where Grady works! In MP, he plays Hotel Manager in "Four Affairs and a Pregnancy."

McFadden (as Caldwell) with Grady a headlock:

Also...

Season 3, Episode 18: No Laughing Murder

Pat Crowley is Edie Howard, wife to a former big time comedian.

Boring.

In MP episode "Ruthless People," Crowley plays Sharon Ross, mother of Matt's actor boyfriend, Alan. Sharon is unaware of her son's homosexuality, and therefore she also does not know that Matt is Alan's boyfriend.

Completely clueless.

Season 3, Episode 15: The Bottom Line Is Murder

Morgan Stevens makes his third and final MSW appearance. This time around, he portrays Robert Warren, station manager of KBLR in Denver, Colorado/murderer.

As mentioned in previous posts, Stevens plays the Parezi family's lawyer in six MP episodes.

Season 3, Episode 14: Murder in a Minor Key

Alexander Folk makes his second MSW appearance in this episode as Hargrove, a security card on a SoCal campus where someone murders a prof! Unlike most of the MSW episodes in which Folk appears, he is actually given a name in this one!

Alex Henteloff portrays public defender, Raymond Parnell, in this episode.

Henteloff appears in MP ("Devil in a Wet Dress") as Mr. Lindy of Lindy Toys.

Same suit??

While he was never in MP, younger Hardy Boy, Shaun Cassidy appears in this MSW episode! This is notable as elder Hardy (Parker Stevenson) made an MSW appearance in season two!

...yikes.

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Season 3, Episode 11: Night of the Headless Horseman

Tom Ohmer appears in the MP episode "Dial M for Melrose" as Uniformed Policeman, and in this MSW ep as Police Officer.

At some point in his life, Ohmer was a REAL COP, which means any of the arrests that he made in these episodes were FO REAL!

Season 3, Episode 9: Obituary for a Dead Anchor

Robert Lipton, who was in MP episode "Postmortem Madness" makes his second MSW appearance as Richard Abbott, operational vice-president of a television magazine.

The TV show's INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER, Kevin Keats, is portrayed by Chad Everett. He dies?

Everett appears in four MP episodes as Thomas Sterling, Lexi's father. He dies.

Season 3, Episode 8: Magnum on Ice: Part 2

Attempting to watch this episode is too confusing as I didn't see part one of this Magnum P.I. crossover. There is only one connection in this episode, and it is Andrew Prine, who is making his second MSW appearance as Victor Salyer. Prine appears in the MP episode "Peter's Excellent Adventure" as Dr. Tucker, who I believe is one of the doctors at the insane asylum where Kimberly/Betsy takes Peter aka "Mr. Peters."

Season 3, Episode 7: Deadline for Murder

Sydney Walsh appears in FIVE MP episodes as Jane Mancini's idol and eventual employer, HIGH FASHION DESIGNER, KAY Beacon.

OBVIOUSLY HIGH FASHION!

In this episode of MSW, Walsh plays KAY Garret.

SAME NAME, SAME NECKLACE!

The other mutual actor is Mary Wickliffe, who portrays Nurse Phillips.

Wickliffe also appears in FOUR MP episodes!

In "Swept Away" as:

NURSE Karen!

In both "Postmortem Madness" and "Better Homes and Condos " as:
(not pictured)
NURSE #1!

And finally, in "Catch Her in the Lie" as:

ER NURSE!

I am cerntainly not one to judge a person's choice in careers, but perhaps Wickliffe should have pursued one in healthcare rather than acting?
