Firstly, we have Danny McCoy Jr. portraying a waiter. McCoy also appeared in the MP episode "The Night the Lights Went Out at Melrose" in the gripping role of PATROL OFFICER!
Elder Hardy Boy, Parker Stevenson makes his appearance early on in this MSW episode as Michael Digby, a travel writer who shows up on Jessica's doorstep. Although not a mystery writer, the pairing is quite logical as Stevenson is accustomed to working side-by-side with case-cracking ladies (e.g. Nancy Drew).
"Me? A detective? Yeah!"
In Stevenson's 6 episode MP appearance, he portrays reclusive computer engineer billionaire, Steve McMillian, who Allison falls for... hard.

Our last mutual actor is Joseph Campanella who appears in three episodes of the last season of MP as Barry Denott. As season seven is my least favorite, I sadly cannot place this character in my Melrose memory. His role in MSW as George Knapp is far more memorable, however. He portrays one of three developers that arrive in Cabot Cove and become known as "The Three" to the locals.
Mystery moguls Jessica Fletcher and Frank Hardy a.k.a Michael Digby surely bring this troublesome threesome's evil plot to a HALT!
